Why Insyira is created?

I’m so worried about the Muslim community right now.

From my perspective, we’re walking far away from the Quran. Despite thinking we already read the Quran every day, remembering it verse by verse, posting it on social media as a self-proof, I witness that we didn’t really take the Quran seriously or learn it as a whole. That is why I created Insyira. I do hope these reflections can encourage you to have the courage to learn the Quran as a whole. Not only for some parts that we like to hear.

Because at the end, nothing matters if we don’t follow the Quran like Allah intended us to.

Hello, I'm Rama!

I live and was born in Indonesia. For more than 10 years, I have tried to explore the Quran in depth. Not only have I been reading it and expecting rewards from it, but I have also seriously followed the Quran as my guidance. For example, when Allah says “Iqra”, I didn't just read it and do nothing with it. Actually, I’m also doing it--try to obey what Allah said, even though at first it’s not easy.

Looking back in 2012, I left my office work to become a writer, and I spent a lot of time alone crafting my novel. But it turns out, life is so much deeper than writing a novel. I have faced many failures and difficulties. That’s the first thing that I have been trying to learn from the Quran. I'm starting to question life and the universe, I'm starting to question how can I be sure the Quran is from Allah, if I don't know the Truth in it? Well, in case you haven't known what's inside the Quran as a whole, let me tell you, there is knowledge to change the world in it.

The Quran is beyond anything you ever think of...

I care for myself too much. I love myself to the center of my heart; therefore, I think seriously about what's going to happen to me after I die.

Through the Quran, Allah taught me to learn from the past, read the present, think about the future, and contemplate the afterlife.

Being a Muslim is not as simple as many of us think.

Being a Muslim means being a protector, a vanguard, a scientist, a caretaker, a philosopher, a problem solver, a fighter, a teacher, and all combine together in our one single identity as Muslims. Our real duty is to bring peace and balance to mankind by following Allah's guidance in the Quran. So, really, it's not limited only to kneeling and bowing to Allah for five times a day.

And, Jannah is not cheap as we might think.

I realized that many Islamic teachings are not taught to the ummah as they should be. Islam is not limited only to the Five Pillars of Islam, Halal-Haram, not limited to being a patient man with a strong will to build a better family; it's beyond that.

If you see the picture notes that I put here. Each verse of the Quran is intercorrelated and cannot be separated; all of it can shape a Muslim’s mental model (mindset) and worldview about what is right by following Allah's guidance and what is wrong or merely just an illusion.

The mindset for a Muslim is important, and without the Quran, we'll never have a proper mindset as Muslims.
